Saturday 14th November to Sunday 15th November
Use the weekend to learn two bookmaking techniques, together with different ways to fold pockets and envelopes as well as decorative beaded bindings.
We begin with Japanese stab bound books and move on to make a piano hinge on the second day.
The books you make can be given as gifts or used as sketchbooks, notebooks or to display your embroidery samples. We can use a range of decorated papers,
and found objects from feathers to shells, for the structure of the book but whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience in making books,
there is something for everyone.
Please note, this is not a bookbinding course, it is creative bookmaking where no specialist equipment is required.
Anne teaches a wide variety of textile and bookmaking courses, including City & Guild textile courses and beading. She has taught workshops in New Zealand and America and some images of her work can be seen on her facebook page.
