'Always fancied having a go at patchwork
but not known where to start?' Then this is the course for you. Christine's back to basics and bust a few rules approach will
unleash your creative juices. Be inspired by numerous patchworked pieces and then have a go yourself. You will learn how to
design simple but effective and original panels based on a simple square motif, how to choose fabrics that 'sing', how to
use a rotary cutter and quilting rule, and successful pinning and machine stitching. You might create a cushion cover, a small
throw or your work could be start of something bigger... Once you have mastered the basics you'll be happily
hooked on patchwork! Suitable for the novice or more experienced sewer.
CHRISTINE GREEN is an inspirational and enthusiastic tutor with a wealth of teaching and designing experience and a holistic
approach to creativity. Twelve years at the BBC as a graphic designer, head of film and animation at Kingston
University, author of Contemporary Needlepoint and a clutch of international awards including a BAFTA
nomination, plus involvement with numerous educational projects, give Christine a unique creative profile.
