This two-day course will offer the space and stimulation to be creative with words in a relaxed and supportive setting.
A three day course for anyone wishing to extend their drawing vocabulary. We will work through a series of exercises designed to explore different methods and approaches.

Christine will introduce you to some simple techniques to get you started on producing your own distinctive designs.

|Contemporary and abstract watercolour New
Experiment and move on with watercolour wherever you're starting from, beginner, a rusty returner or an experienced painter.

Suitable for both beginners and more advanced artists, this course will provide a thorough and enjoyable programme of drawing instruction.
|Mono printing gelli and gelatine plates New
No prior experience necessary so come and try this low-tech, non toxic form of printmaking that requires no press and uses waterbased paints and inks.
|Can't paint? Come and be proved wrong
Through the use of different techniques using watercolour i.e. sponging, splattering paint with a tooth brush, blowing paint through a straw etc. you will discover the nature of watercolour painting.
|What shall I do with my sketchbook? New
On this course you will work from your sketchbooks or that collection of notes and photos you always wanted to do something with, extracting and abstracting from your observations to create more finished work.
|Creative Mosaic New
Enjoy five blissful days of mosaic! Create your own masterpiece using beautiful glass and ceramic tiles. Potential projects include a decorative panel, mirror frame, splash back or small table top.

Make amazing paper with a literary theme! Letters, words, and flowers will be incorporated into paper to create unique pieces of work for writing, painting, craft and bookbinding projects.
Following on from the launch of this course in 2016, this programme will take students back to basics: paper fibres will be our painting medium!

TThis course is suitable for absolute beginners whether you are uncertain of your drawing skills or terrified of oilpainting - because oil painting is actually surprisingly easy!
|Oil Painting-shadows and reflections New
This is a course for those who have done any basic beginner oil painting course, including 'Oil painting from scratch' on the previous two days.

Landscape is an important subject in Chinese painting and is surrounded by symbolism.

This will be a lively, friendly introduction to lino cutting and printing. You will learn about the papers, inks and tools used.
We will use a whole range of different mixed media materials and techniques to create richly decorated papers for use in future projects.We will work in layers using paints, inks, pastels, pens, pencils, and acrylic mediums.
This five day course in Botanical Illustration aims to enhance skills in observing and recording plant form, colour, structure, and detail. Structured to suit beginners, as well as more experienced students.
