'Textural Fabric Books- "Gatherings"' with Kristin Steiner.

Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th Gather together your laces, trims and fabrics and join Kristin for this new class. Construct a luscious fabric book containing numerous techniques for embellishing and altering fabric. Transform fabric using painted fusible web and fused applique. Alter with paints, oil pastels, and gesso. Make your own fabric from a paper base. Distress, stitch, dye and rub… and that's just the beginning! This will be the first of many a fabric book as you learn Kristin's easy construction methods and edge treatments. Throughout the course, we'll take a look at the many ways we gather creative inspiration to form our own unique mixed-media style. This comprehensive class is perfect for any skill level.

KRISTIN STEINER is an accomplished teacher and fabric artist from the USA. Kristin’s own work is featured in The Art of Fabric Books and Altered Board Books and Beyond. She writes frequently for several magazines. Kristin teaches extensively throughout the US and runs her own creativity workshops both at home and in Italy (‘Adventures in Italy’).
