'Stained Glass - Design and Make with Colour & Light' with Nicola Kantorowicz.

Monday 26th to Saturday 31st Explore the process of making stained glass using traditional tools and materials. Beginners will spend the first day making a small set piece, which provides a basic understanding of the techniques involved. Students then go on to develop their own design for a larger panel. There will be an opportunity to try some glass painting – creating patterns and textures on the glass – which can then be incorporated into the finished panel. Everyone will go home with at least one completed panel! All materials are purchased from the tutor and costs vary from £35 - £45 depending on panel sizes. There is an additional £5 charge for glass paint. Tool hire is £7. Students may wish to buy their own tools — contact Nicola via the website for details. NICOLA KANTOROWICZ was recently elected to Fellow of the BSMGP. She trained in textile design and stained glass and worked in industry for a while before setting up her own studio. Commissioned work ranges from large scale church projects to smaller windows and panels for the home and public buildings.
