'Megamasks' with Graham Woodall. |
|
Monday 26th to Saturday 31st The workshop will involve the designing and making of masks that will appear as human sculptures. The face, head and shoulders will be used as human moulds to create fantastic works of art. The following topics can be considered for possible starting points: robots, a famous painting, aliens, carnival, a bowl of fruit, a machine etc. The body structures will be made from found objects — a quality recycling work of art. Card, wood and papier mache will be used as the central structure but individuals can extend ideas to suit. They can be life size or preferably oversized! This workshop follows on from the previous two years of successful 3D structures. Students from those workshops will find this year’s topic an interesting extension! New students will find it creative and fun. No previous experience is required. |
