Monday 26th to Friday 30th This course offers an introduction to the art of Botanical Illustration; or a chance to improve your drawing and painting skills. Students will be taught to observe closely and draw accurately from a variety of plant subjects. Basic techniques will be covered – from stretching paper – to design & composition – accurate drawing and the use of pencils, pen & ink, and water-colour. |

VALERIE PRICE gained a degree in Scientific Illustration and has worked as a freelance botanical
illustrator & teacher. Her work has appeared in publications by the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, the
Royal Horticultural Society, Collins, Dorling Kindersley, Quarto, Conran Octopus & many others. She has
taken part in exhibitions in London & America. She is currently teaching at venues in Oxfordshire. Her work is
