'Art Sketchbooks' with Charlotte Hardy. |

Monday 26th to Friday 30th Come and be absorbed in drawing, painting, colour, collage and mixed media to create an imaginative sketchbook on a personal theme.Working with your chosen subject matter, we will explore techniques and approaches with a wealth of media to generate imagery, telling a visual story of what intrigues and delights you. The emphasis will be on not being precious, a book of ideas and experiments, working with spontaneity and freedom. Each day will focus on a different way of working and selection of methods, to be developed in a personal direction. At the end of the course you will have a collection of mixed media work, which we will compile into a sketchbook A materials list will be provided for students to bring their own materials with them. |

CHARLOTTE HARDY studied printed textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University and has since worked as an artist. Her paintings have been internationally produced as greeting cards, prints and editorial illustrations. The work is driven by her imagination and passion for colour, pattern and drawing. Charlotte currently teaches on the Foundation Course at Wimbledon Art College and at City Lit adult college. |
