Monday to Friday
Have you have been meaning to get round to making changes to your garden but have not been quite sure
how to go about it? This course may be the answer. No previous knowledge is assumed and you will be led
gently through the design process. Studying existing designs and visiting a well-planned garden will help
provide inspiration. Later in the week you will be given help to come up with a satisfying design for all
or part of your own garden. At the end of the week we will consider what plants to use and where to get
them from. The aim is that you will leave with a practical design to implement in your garden at your
leisure. We will spend time on: how to approach design; drawing techniques; simple surveying; styles of
garden design; learning from existing designs; designing and drawing plans for your chosen garden - hard
and soft landscaping; plant selection and sourcing.
It is hoped that one day will be spent visiting a garden, which may incur an additional cost.
