Monday to Friday
Making felt for fashion garments is a daunting project due to constraints of time, energy and space.
A good approach is to gain experience by working on smaller pieces for fashion accessories such as collars,
cuffs, scarves and wraps. During the course you will create stunning fashion accessories while learning
a range of contemporary felt making techniques. These techniques will include exciting possibilities
of three-dimensional feltmaking to create individual bags without seams; luxurious fine felt for unique
scarves and wraps; sumptuous textured surfaces with silk and dry felting techniques with a felting
needle, to design and make one off felted flowers and jewellery.

interested in creating different effects within the felt and on the surface with stitch, and incorporating
fibres other than wool. She originally trained as a teacher of textiles and now teaches felt-making courses
all over the UK and abroad. She has written extensively and her popular books 'Felt to Stitch' and
'Embellish, Stitch, Felt' have been produced by Batsford Publishers
