Monday to Saturday
I will introduce you to woodcarving with taster projects that will enable you to carve a relief,
a dish, and a simple 3D object. With this experience you can then develop your own projects. In addition,
we can shape wood with a spokeshave, make joints with chisels and bore holes with a brace and bit -
processes which can lead to sculptural pieces that are constructed, as well as carved. I will supply
the tools, demonstrate techniques, and demonstrate how to keep your tools razor sharp.
I will charge for wood used in the taster projects and have available wood to purchase for your own projects. If you have them do, of course, bring your own tools, and any special piece of wood you want to carve.
