'Non-Adhesive & Simple Bookbinding'
with Christopher Rowlatt.

Wednesday to Saturday

Whether or not you came on the marbling
course, here is your chance to enjoy &
learn how to make & design books.
Bookbinding is a wonderful way of showing
off colour & ideas. Each day a simple book
form will be introduced & developed.
Guidance with tool skills & use of materials
is given. Notes for each form will be
supplied as well as the necessary materials
to add to the student’s marbles or
decorated papers.
CHRISTOPHER ROWLATT has been Bookbinding since 1976 & marbling since 1977. Full time in his successful paper marbling & conservation bookbinding business since 1990, has given him skills he wishes to pass on. He teaches at West Dean & other Colleges – his travelling workshop enables him to teach virtually anywhere given the space. His conservation bookbinding is in great demand by individuals as well as Archives & Conservators. He exhibits in the UK & is a member of the Gloustershire Guild of Craftsmen.
This 'Simple Bookbinding' course is a good good follow on from,
the 'Paper Marbling' Course

Course Cost for 4 days £132.
There will be a materials charge of up to £18 for the course. A basic toolkit
will be provided (please bring left handed equipment if required)
