Monday to Saturday
Explore the process of making stained glass with traditional tools & materials. A chance
to experiment with colour, light & pattern. Beginners will spend the first day working on a small set piece. This will provide a basic understanding of the techniques
involved in stained glass. Students will then go on to develop their own design ideas for
a larger piece of work. There will be an opportunity to try some glass painting -
creating patterns & textures on pieces of glass which can then be incorporated into
the finished panel.

NICOLA KANTOROWICZ trained in textile design at the Winchester
School of Art and stained glass at The Central School of Art. After a
period in industry she established her own studio making stained glass
to commission. Her work is always abstract using decorative motifs and
patterns, richly painted or acid etched glass. Her commissions
range from large scale church windows to smaller decorative
pieces for the home or working environment.
