SUMMER SCHOOL
28th July-2nd August 2008

'Silver Jewellery'
with Pauline Payne.

Monday to Saturday

Many people regard making silver jewellery as being very complex. This course shows that once a few basic techniques are mastered even the most apparently complicated pieces can be made easily. The course is suitable for complete beginners although it is also a great opportunity for students to practice & extend any previously learnt skills at their own pace. Traditional jewellery techniques will first be introduced by the making of a silver band ring. With a simple approach to design you will be helped to make several other pieces of silver jewellery. You will be surprised at the standard of work that can be achieved.
PAULINE PAYNE is a freelance designer jeweller who studied at Portsmouth College of Art and Design & has gained a number of prestigious awards for her jewellery work. As well as designing & making Pauline also runs workshops at various places throughout the year including The Mill at Banbury, Urchfont Manor & Denman College. This will be Pauline’s 14th year at the Summer School. 'www.paulinepayne.co.uk'
