Monday to Friday
This five day course is packed with hints tips ideas and inspiration. Tutorials will be closely
tailored to the wishes of students but day one will certainly include design essentials
for developing an original design or adapting a commercial pattern for a different size,
stitch or yarn while the final day will discuss techniques for a professional finishing
techniques. Last year we covered bags, gloves, mittens, tea cosies and children and
adult garments! Susettte is happy to discuss students’ projects beforehand so that they
can get the most out of the class. There will also be an optional class project which
develops knitting knowledge.
Students only need to be able to knit and purl.

SUSETTE PALMER has a design diploma from Harrow School of Art, and creates garments for individual
clients. She is a compulsive knitter and enjoys teaching others. She runs weekly classes in NW London and
taught at Summer School last year helped by Roni Goldberg whose knowledge of available modern
patterns is second to none and who will be with her again this year.
