'Pictorial Machine Embroidery'
with Linda Miller.

Wednesday to Saturday

Working with your own sewing machine, you will be guided through the steps of how to make pictures in stitch. Learn how to design, layout and place your imagery within your picture. Try out and use a scrumptious array of threads in a variety of colours and thicknesses, to embellish and decorate the fabric. Have a go at working with soluble and vanishing fabrics, as well as working on cotton, to create your very own pictorial piece. This course is suited to both the complete novice or to the more confident machine embroiderer who wishes for a greater challenge. You need a sewing machine in good working order which can drop its feed teeth or which has a plate.
LINDA MILLER BA (Hons). Linda has been creating framed & unframed machine embroidery pieces for over fifteen years on her trusty Industrial Bernina 950 sewing machine. Her work is exhibited successfully throughout the UK & the USA, & she has pieces held in the South-East Arts Council & within the permanent textiles & dress collection at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
