Jump right into the luscious world of fabric books and its many design possibilities! This
course covers numerous techniques for fabric collage and embellishment including fabric
frames, pocket treatments, stamping on fabric and paper, and dyeing for lace and
trims. Several image transfer techniques are also fully explained. Complete instructions are
given for assembling the fabric book pages, edge treatments, and binding methods. Some
students will complete their book in class; others will prefer to continue at home. This
comprehensive class is perfect for all skill levels...no sewing experience necessary!

KRISTIN STEINER is an accomplished fabric artist & teacher from South Carolina, USA. Her work
has featured in ‘The Art of Fabric Books’, ‘Altered Board Books & Beyond’, on the cover of the Spring
2006 issue of ‘Cloth, Paper & Scissors’, and most recently in an article written for ‘Sew Somerset’.
She teaches extensively in the USA and runs her own creativity retreats, both at home and in Italy.
