9:30am - 4:30pm
This workshop runs separately from the instrumental & vocal workshops but is part
of the public concert on Friday 1 August where the students will perform a number
of dance pieces. All dancers with some previous dance experience are welcome.
This five day course gives students the opportunity to learn both new steps/repertoires as well as developing technique in a variety of dance styles. Dancers will
have a Ballet Class every morning followed by workshops and rehearsals in a variety of
dance styles including: Jazz, Salsa, Samba, Tap, Street Dance, Musical Theatre Dance
and a few surprises to put a smile on your face!

CATHERINE HARLEY, born in
Scotland, trained at The Dance School
of Scotland. She won the Sally Burton
Scholarship at English National Ballet
in 1998 before training at Central
School of Ballet, London where she
won the Rose Atfield award for
academic achievement &
performance in 2002. She later
studied Dance and Dance History at
Northumbria University and
Edinburgh’s Telford College where
she graduated with a First Class
Honours Degree. She continued her
studies at the Royal Academy of
Dance, London & gained her PGCE in
Dance and Qualified Teacher Status.
Catherine is now based in London
where she teaches Dance and
Physical Education full time,
alongside her professional dance
career in Ballroom and Latin.
