Monday to Saturday
Drawing is a fundamental basis for all the
Arts & Crafts. This course aims to develop
your understanding of the language of
drawing - being able to do the basics well
& to understand relationships so that you
are in a position to take it as far as you are
able. You will use anything that makes a
mark to create relationships of tone, colour,
shape, space, form & line. This is a study
of observational drawing & it will be largely
based in the studio looking at still-life, life
drawing & various exercises; at least 2 days
will be spent outside working on
architecture & trees/landscape. There will
be constant references to other artists’
work & exercises based on their approach.
You should be left with a range of
knowledge & experience to take away &
apply to your own particular way of working.
