Monday to Friday
Come & be absorbed in drawing, painting,
collage, text, colour & mixed media to
create an imaginative sketchbook on a
personal theme. Working with your chosen
subject matter, we will explore techniques
& approaches with a wealth of media to
generate imagery, telling a visual story of
what intrigues & delights you. The
emphasis will be on not being precious: a
book of ideas & experiments, working with
spontaneity & freedom. Each day will focus
on a different use of media & selection of
methods, to be developed in a personal
direction. At the end of the course you will
have a beautiful mixed media sketchbook
of pictures, memories & words.

CHARLOTTE HARDY studied
Printed Textile Design at Manchester
Metropolitan University, & has since,
worked as an artist, painting for
exhibitions & undertaking illustration
work. Her work is driven by her
imagination & passion for colour,
pattern & drawing. Charlotte has
taught at all levels of art & design, &
has been lecturing on BA (Hons)
Textiles part-time. Her Summer
School Course last year was a great
success.
